Thomas Jefferson Byrd, Actor in Numerous Spike Lee Films, Was Murdered Overnight, Director Says

Director Spike Lee announced on Sunday that actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd had been murdered the night before. Byrd starred in several of Lee's movies, and the two were apparently close outside of work as well. According to Lee's Instagram post, Byrd was murdered in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday night.

my joints CHI-RAQ, SWEET BLOOD OF JESUS, RED HOOK SUMMER, BAMBOOZLED, HE GOT GAME, GET ON THE BUS, GIRL 6 and CLOCKERS. May we all wish condole condolences and blessings to his family. Rest in peace Brother Byrd.
